Why do we send out mission teams
from Redeemer?
• For the local church to participate directly in
the Great Commission (Matthew
28:18-20; John 20:21). Pray that God gives us many opportunities to be faithful witnesses.
• To raise up future career missionaries from this present generation (Proverbs 22:6,
Luke 10:2). May the Lord burden the hearts of our youth to have a burden for foreign missions and perhaps serve the Lord overseas one day.
• To assist missionaries and church leaders
overseas in reaching out
to their community (Galatians 6:2). Pray that we will be a blessing and encouragement to the staff at HAFF.
• To learn first-hand that we and Christians all
over the world are all part of the body
of Christ (John 17:23; 1
Corinthians 12:12). May we have teachable hearts.
• To increase our love for people of other
cultures and our vision
for reaching them (Luke 10:27; Matthew
9:36,37). Pray that the Lord gives us a burden and love for the Haitian people.
• Because we’ve been so blessed, and God calls us
to be a blessing to the
world. (Genesis 12:2-3). O Lord, help us to be a channel of your mercy!
• To plant seeds of faith that will last forever
(John 15:16). May the Word of the Lord bear fruit.
