More random photos from our week in Haiti...

Mark with two friends from the HAFF school.

Haley, Arielle and Lydia with Haitian friends in the courtyard of the HAFF secondary school.

Coke break!  From left to right: Nathan, Justin, Kelly, Lydia, Daniel, Marty, Kiera and Brody.
They're on the dorm porch at HAFF.  Sander is in the background.

After the Bible conference, the men got to choose 4 ties from those donated
by people here in Michigan.  Check out the tie in his hand!

They men were very grateful!

One evening some women came and braided hair. Take a moment to soak it in!

Coeur d'homme singing group.

Each member of the choir introduced himself.

One sweet kiddo.

Lydia, Haley and Nate on a home visit.

The Haitian homes are almost all surrounded by a courtyard (yon lakou) swept clean.

The women's choir preparing to sing on Sunday.  The American man pictured sitting in church
is a cabinet make from Minnesota who married a Haitian women from the area.  He goes back and forth from
the U.S. to Haiti to take care of business matters back in Minnesota...usually staying in Haiti during the winter!

The men's choir singing.

One of the schools where we donated chalkboards and then ministered to the students through
testimonies, Scripture, and song.  The kids are singing for us here.

Each member of the group spoke about their favorite Bible character and why is was so.

It was cool to find a kid wearing Covenant College baseball shorts!  He had purchased
them at the local market where they sell used clothing.

After playing soccer with the kids, we donated a new soccer ball to the school for their recreation time.

Mèt Justin (the tall man) heads up HAFF's ministry to support local elementary schools.
We brought newly made chalk-boards to encourage the school.

Arielle and Kiera are teaching kids' songs.

Another scene from the market.

Everyone wanted a chance to hold Justin's rooster. Arielle saw an opportunity
to photo-bomb Daniel's picture.

Our last view of the market...everything from empty bottles, to flip-flops,
rice, beans, fruit, pigs, chickens, cows, goats, soap...
...and even roosters!

The Young Leaders' Class singing for us.

Buying gifts at the Zandolit craft market at HAFF supplied by local artisans.

I guess the boys are tired of shopping...

...and the girls are not!

Heley and Justin

Teaching friendship bracelets to the Godly Woman's class.

They were so grateful!

Such sweet kids!

Another chalkboard donation
Ministering to elementary school kids (Justin, Haley, Daniel and Brody)

Our boys played soccer with school kids after the presentation.

These kids loved watching our boys play.  That's Mount Pignon in the background

What joy to bring joy!

Young Leaders for God class.

Singing with the Young Leaders class.

Kiera received a hand-painted gift.

Port au Prince traffic.

An omelette breakfast before hitting the airport at a local hotel.

Sander wanted a nice picture taken with him to give friends back in Petit Goave
where he lives.  It was a pleasure to have this Haitian brother with us whom Pastor Hausler
met during the earthquake relief work he did three years ago.
