Tuesday Morning

We started our day meeting with the Godly Woman's class.  What a sweet group of women!
We sang with them and talked about our favorite Bible promises.  It was our privilege to
deliver two large suitcases full of quilt kits from a church in Iowa City.

Our girls also spent time teaching the women how to make bracelets.  The class is built around the
Proverbs 31 Woman.  They learn Scripture and practical ways to be a godly, well-rounded woman.

Kiera and all the girls enjoyed teaching the Haitian women how to make friendship bracelets.  They
will be able to sell them in the market

After the Godly Woman's class, we went on a school visit about 30 minutes from the HAFF campus.

The school headmaster was very thankful for the new chalkboards made by previous teams.
These schools have so few materials to use for classroom instruction.

Little girls listening to our team sing.

This little boy isn't in school but waited by the door to listen to our team sing and give
testimonies about favorite Bible characters.

It was such a blessing to see the joy on their faces as we sang.

A family listening in to our presentation.

The kids later stood and sang for our team a song of thanksgiving.

Typical mud/thatch hut in Haiti.

The some of our team played soccer with the school boys, while others taught children's songs.

"Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes."

Time to say goodbye.

Visiting these schools has been a highlight of our time on the Central Plateau.
This big boy was in our shower this morning...the "shower" is a stall 50 gallon drum which is private, but open to the sky.
This katydid didn't cause as much commotion as the tarantula Justin discovered in his room! The boys were
grinning and the girls were screaming.  It was quite a scene!
